This month I had the pleasure of interviewing Lynne Potter Lord of Vancouver, B.C. I first met Lynne last June in Vancouver, where she took Michael’s first Certified Law of Attraction Facilitator program. I then had the chance to volunteer with her this past November in Victoria, where Michael presented his 2nd Facilitator Certification seminar. Today, Lynne is coaching clients privately and publicly on the Law of Attraction and other healing modalities. Sandy G. When did you start using the tools in Michael’s book?
Lynne I first became aware of the Law of Attraction in February, 2006 and came across Michael’s book about a year ago.
Sandy G. Which area of life did you first apply the Law of Attraction?
Lynne On Relationships. I used the clarity through contrast worksheets on what I wanted in an ideal relationship. And as I got more clear on what I wanted, I realized that my ideal relationship wasn’t with my husband.
Sandy G. Before we get to that story, you told me how after years of marriage and not being able to have a baby, how everything changed when you stopped focusing on not having a baby.
Lynne I got married when I was older and I tried getting pregnant for 10 years. In those years, I suffered 3 miscarriages. It was very traumatic, and each time I thought I am not meant to have a baby. My husband and I decided to go through the adoption process and hired an adoption lawyer. We also signed up for the IVF (in vitro fertilization program). I then joined my husband in Europe where he was on business. It was a change of pace for both of us, and I wasn’t focused on not having a baby. And guess what? I got pregnant. I knew it right away and our daughter is now 16 years old. The other amazing things that happened were that as soon as I got pregnant two babies became available for adoption and I was accepted into the IVF program. Instead of not having any babies in my life, I was attracting babies everywhere. I didn’t realize it at the time, but Law of Attraction was at work in my life.
Sandy G Thanks Lynne for sharing that story. Now earlier you had mentioned that you were using the Clarity through Contrast worksheets to attract your ideal relationship. Can you share with us what you discovered?
Lynne I had been with my husband for 24 years and we had our wonderful teenaged daughter. As I kept writing down what I wanted in my ideal relationship, the more I realized that my husband didn’t fit the picture anymore. I knew that I couldn’t change him to fit what I wanted in an ideal relationship. We split up in May 2006, and a month later I met someone online. We talked for three months and met in person at the end of August. We have been together since. I have to say I wasn’t ready to meet someone so soon after splitting with my husband, but the Law of Attraction works in beautiful ways when you are clear about what you want.
Sandy G What is your favourite section/tool and why?
Lynne The Clarity through Contrast worksheets. Without it, I wouldn’t have recognized my boyfriend when he actually showed up in my life. I was able to attract who was an ideal match knowing what was good for me consciously rather than attracting someone unconsciously.
Sandy G What will you use Law Of Attraction on next?
Lynne I want to incorporate the Law of Attraction and my other teachings into a successful career. I also want to attract many speaking engagements in the future.
Sandy G Lynne, what would you like Michael to know?
Lynne I want to thank him for bringing his tools to the masses. Also for his leadership and his willingness to share his teachings with everyone.
